Behind all artwork is a story, a message, a meaning. "Creative Storytelling" is a class that focuses on multi-week projects that combine creative writing with various artmaking practices. In each class, students are asked to analyze, infer, and critique famous artworks and then use those observations as inspiration for their work. While most projects will be worked on independently, students will be asked to engage in conversation and discuss their creative ideas. Some project units to be explored with include marionettes, comic panels/graphic novels, portraiture, and collage art.
